Last year, BN brought you all the exclusive photos and details from the
American University of Nigeria‘s “2011 AUN Homecoming” in Yola. Now
the school is back with the 2012 edition – this time bigger and better.
Read an AUN’s student account of the homecoming event;
Homecoming is one of the biggest events at AUN and the
second most exciting week during the academic year – Graduation week
being the most exciting because of the prospect of graduating and
finding out what lies ahead in the real world.
The first edition started in 2011 from Friday 28th October 2011 to
Wednesday 2nd November 2011, shortly after the creation of the Office of
Student activities and involvement with Dorsey Jnr Spencer headlining
the series of events.
This year, homecoming started on Monday 22nd October 2012 and ended
on Saturday 27th October 2012 with different events that make sure
students, alumni, staff and the community (at American University of
Nigeria) have an exciting time.
From dorm decorations, to the Mr & Miss AUN Pageant football,
basketball and volleyball games and finally the Homecoming ball. This

year’s AUN theme and concept was taken from the Matrix Revolutions,
where most of the events were named after a part of the trilogy movie.
It also looks to involve most of the departments in AUN, making them
have a part to play in the planning, implementation and execution of all
the events.
From the photos below, the event sure looked like fun. From the highly entertaining musical performance by Lynxxx to the crowning of Francis as Mr AUN and Claire Maduka as Miss AUN 2012, the 2012 American University of Nigeria Homecoming was surely as sight to behold.
